This post originally appeared as an email to prospective students.

Things are intense on campus right now. As we process the results of election season, final projects loom on the horizon. Classes, exams, and projects will all be finished by Thanksgiving – and even this year, there’s still plenty to be thankful for.

We’re thankful for our thoughtful students. In the midst of their own lives’ stresses and woes, they stood up yesterday and organized a campus rally to unite us following the election results. They bravely shared their stories, their hopes, their visions essaysonline for our community. Our students thrive in these moments, these opportunities to come together, face to face, for shared soul-searching.

We’re thankful for our amazing professors. They continue to push our students to explore the unknown, to consider new perspectives. Our faculty create spaces for asking tough questions, and for listening to tough answers. Their dedication to nurturing our students is second to none.

We’re thankful for our prospective students. Even when there’s a chill in the air, you help bring us hope for the future. Learning about you through your application gets us excited for the possibilities that await you. This fall we celebrated our 150th birthday – and we can’t wait to see what the next 150 years will be like.  Will you be a part of it?

As you consider an application to Carleton, we hope you’ll take the first step by completing the Part I. This is the best way to let us know that you’re thinking about applying. We’ll then look forward to getting the rest of your application and materials when they’re all prepared. If Carleton’s your first choice, it’s almost time for you to submit an Early Decision application: the deadline is November 15.

We hope to have the opportunity to review your application – and maybe even learn a bit about the things you’re thankful for this season. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out with an email or a call. We’re here to help.
